　マイクロソフト株式会社は、Windows用リアルタイムストラテジー「Age of Empires III (AoE III)」および「Age of Empires III ： The WarChiefs(AoE III TWC)」の価格を改定した。改定後の価格は、「AoE III」が7,140円で、「AoE III TWC」が3,990円。

　「AoE III」は、アメリカ大陸の開拓時代を舞台に、イギリス、フランス、ロシアなど計8カ国との植民地闘争が繰り広げられる作品。「AoE III TWC」はその拡張パックで、先の8カ国に加えアステカ族やイロコイ族といったアメリカ先住民族を使用することができる。

　価格改定は、拡張パック第2弾「AoE III：The Asian Dynasties(アジアの覇王)」と、「AoE III」・「AoE III TWC」がセットになったパッケージ「Aoe III GOLD EDITION」が発売されることを受けて実施された。また「AoE III」と「AoE III TWC」は、Windows Vistaへの正式対応製品となった。
