　株式会社ライブドアは、Windows用FPS「QUAKE 4」の日本語マニュアル付き英語版を、10月27日に発売する。価格は7,329円。

　「QUAKE 4」は、米id Softwareが手がけているFPS「QUAKE」シリーズの最新作。北米地域では10月18日に発売される予定で、日本でも同時期に発売されることが発表されていた。

　動作環境については、ライブドアは現在確認中としているが、英語版ソフトに特に手を加える予定はないという。英語版の公式サイトに掲載されている情報によると、動作環境は、対応OSがWindows 2000/XP、Pentium 4 2GHz以上、またはAthlon XP2000+以上のCPU、512MB以上のメインメモリ、2.8GB以上の空き容量を持つHDD、64MB以上のビデオメモリを搭載したビデオカード(ATI RADEON 9700以上、NVIDIA GeForce 3 Ti以上)など。メディアはCD-ROMで提供される。
