Windows用「Enemy Territory: Quake Wars」は、英Splash Damageが開発している戦略FPS。サブタイトルにもあるとおり、「Quake」シリーズの流れを組む作品で、「Quake 2」と「Quake 4」で描かれた「ストログ戦争」をモチーフに、近未来の人類と異星人ストログとの戦いが展開される。

　グラフィックスエンジンには、id softwareのDOOM3エンジンを採用。今回公開されたスクリーンショットでは、顔の凹凸や衣類のシワまで表現されたクオリティの高い映像が見られる。まだ動作環境も発表されていないため、実際のゲームでどのレベルまで動くのか気になるが、公式サイトではトレーラームービーも掲載されているので、動きが気になる人は合わせてご覧いただきたい。

　なお日本での発売は現時点では未定。アクティビジョン・ジャパンによると、まだソフト自体が開発中のため決定できる段階ではないが、検討はしていきたいとしている。
