　ゲームロフト株式会社は、EZweb BREW用レースゲーム「アスファルト: アーバンGT」を1月27日より配信する。料金は1ダウンロード525円。対応機種はA5503SAとA5505SAで、その他のBREW2.1対応機種にも順次対応する。

　「アスファルト: アーバンGT」は、3Dグラフィックスを採用したレースゲーム。パリや香港、ニューヨークなど6つの都市やハイウェイでレースが楽しめる。収録車種は、Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT、Nissan 350 Z、Nissan Skyline、Saleen S7、Lotus Exigeの5種類。ゲームモードは複数の相手と走行して勝ち抜いていくレースモードやタイムアタック、1対1といったおなじみの形式のほか、警察の車でターゲットの車をロックするというユニークなものも用意されている。

　システム面では、対向車とスレスレで走行するなど、危険な行為をすることでニトロがたまる。使用すると急加速が得られ、レースを優位に運べるので、いかにミスなく、かつきわどい走行をするかが攻略の鍵となる。

　海外では、ニンテンドーDS用「Asphalt: Urban GT」がUBI Softより発売されており、日本国内でも4月に発売予定となっている。順番としては、今回配信された携帯版がオリジナルで、その移植作としてNDS版が制作されている。

　同社は今後も月に1、2本のペースで新作アプリの配信を行なうとしている。特にUBI Softとのつながりが強く、今後も「トム・クランシーシリーズ」などの移植タイトルの配信も予定されている。また今回のような同社独自タイトルも平行して配信される予定。

NDSに移植されただけあって、3Dグラフィックスのできばえはかなりのもの。NDS版が気になっている人は、まずこちらで試してみてはいかがだろうか
