株式会社ソニー・コンピュータエンタテインメント（SCEJ）は、1月14日から幕張メッセで開催されるイベント「東京オートサロン2011」の開催に合わせ、オンラインイベント「『グランツーリスモ5』 東京オートサロン2011 スペシャルイベント」を開催する。
イベントはオンライン上で行なわれ、実施期間は1月14日0時00分から2月14日 23時59分まで。イベントのランキングにエントリーすると、PlayStation NetworkのサインインIDに設定されたメールアドレス宛に、エントリー特典として「マツダ 787B ステルスモデル」のプロダクトコードが送付される。メールを受け取らなければ、当然特典を受け取ることができない。なおプロダクトコードが収められたメールの送付は2月21日以降を予定している。
