「グランツーリスモSPORT」、「FIAグランツーリスモチャンピオンシップ」開催！
上位プレーヤーは地域決勝や世界大会への参加も

ソニー・インタラクティブエンタテインメントは、プレイステーション 4用リアルドライビングシミュレーター「グランツーリスモSPORT」にて、6月19日より「FIAグランツーリスモチャンピオンシップ」を開始した。
「FIAグランツーリスモチャンピオンシップ」は、6月より9月までのオンラインシーズンと10月、11月に開催予定の「リージョンファイナル」と「ワールドファイナル」の3部構成で開催される大会。オンラインシーズンには誰でも参加できるが、「リージョンファイナル」および「ワールドファイナル」の参加には18歳以上である必要がある。
本大会は国と地域で勝利を競う「ネイションズカップ」と、好みのメーカーとドライバー契約を結んでメーカー同士で競い合う「マニュファクチャラーカップ」に分かれている。「オンラインレース」に参加したプレーヤーは順位に応じてポイントを獲得でき、シーズンのランキング上位プレーヤーは「スタープレーヤー登録」を「グランツーリスモ」公式サイトより行なえる。
さらに各決勝戦は世界の”魅力的な”ロケーションで開催され、オンライン中継を予定している。
