2Kは、9月11日（20周年記念エディションは7日）に発売を予定しているプレイステーション 4/Xbox One/Nintendo Switch/PC用バスケットボールゲーム「NBA 2K19」の体験版を8月31日に配信した。
体験版「Prelude」ではオリジナルキャラクターを作成する「MyCAREER」の冒頭を体験可能。主人公が下部リーグから成功をおさめ、NBAのスタープレーヤーへのキャリアを目指すサクセスストーリーの「前奏」を楽しめる。なお作成したキャラクターは製品版でも使用可能。
また、「MyCAREER」で作成したキャラクターを使用して他プレーヤーと交流できる「Neighborhood」モードの紹介映像も公開。本作で提携しているファッションブランドやスポーツブランドが実際に販売している服をゲーム内のキャラクターに着せて飾れる。また今作では夜のシーンや、新たな探索可能な地点も追加されている。
