西暦2027年。朝鮮半島を統一した北朝鮮は、金正恩総主席の指導のもと東アジア全域にまたがる「大朝鮮連邦」を形成、その勢力を北米大陸にも伸ばした。国土の大部分を占領されたアメリカに合衆国の姿は既になく、レジスタンスによる国土解放のための戦いが続いている。「HOMEFRONT」はそのようなIFの世界をテーマとするFPSだ
