Take-Two Interactive Japanは、プレイステーション 3/Xbox 360向けにローカライズ作業を進めているFPS「デューク ニューケム フォーエバー」の発売時期を今夏から未定とすることを明らかにした。新しい発売時期については追って発表するとしている。

　「Duke Nukem」といえば発売延期というほど「Duke Nukem Forever」は延期の代名詞的存在だが、日本語版の発売延期の理由は日本語ローカライズの遅れのため。ゲームの開発は北米だが、ローカライズ作業は先日発表したように日本で行なっており、データの組み込みや修正等のスケジュールが合わなかったものと見られる。

　Take-Two Interactive Japanでは今回の発売延期に関して、「ローカライズ作業のクオリティアップに時間が掛かっています。発売までもう少しお待ちください」とコメントしている。
